Welcome to Barcelona Insider

About Me

In 2018, I visited Barcelona, Spain for the first time. It was love at first sight. The city’s vibrant history, stunning architecture, and unique vibe stole my heart.

Since that first trip, I’ve made it my mission to immerse myself in everything Barcelona has to offer, spending several months each year living and exploring the Catalan capital.

What truly deepened my connection with Barcelona was a Spanish language course I took after the pandemic.

This experience wasn’t just about learning a new language. It was a gateway to cultural immersion. The people I met, the stories we shared, and the understanding I gained of the local way of life made Barcelona my second home.

The language became more than just words. It became the key to unlocking deeper connections and experiences throughout the city.

I’ve uncovered hidden gems that even Barcelona-born locals don’t know about.

Whether it’s a quiet corner in a bustling market, a tucked-away tapas bar, or an off-the-beaten-path historical site, I’ve dedicated myself to finding and sharing the true essence of this incredible city.

Over the years, I’ve visited countless Barcelona attractions, wandered around its diverse neighborhoods, and tasted my way through its culinary scene. I’ve taken day trips to nearby towns, explored the Catalan countryside and coastline, and connected with the culture in a way that only time and curiosity allow.

One of the most memorable aspects of my time here has been attending local festivals.

From the vibrant colors of La Mercè to the fire-filled celebrations of Sant Joan, these celebrations have shown me the true spirit of Barcelona, a city that knows how to praise life with passion and creativity.

After taking a Spanish language course post-pandemic, I found myself more deeply connected to the city than ever before. The cultural immersion and the friendships I formed were life-changing and solidified my love for Barcelona.

When I’m not wandering its streets or enjoying a cortado in a sunny plaza, I’m researching and writing about the Catalan capital.

I’m always on the lookout for the next undiscovered treasure. I’ve danced through local festivals, savored countless tapas, and marveled at architectural wonders, each experience adding another layer to my understanding of this incredible city.
