Rains are extremely rare, though you might experience a brief thunderstorm in July or August.

💡 Tickets for Sagrada Família are only sold online and in advance. They also finish quickly, especially in the peak-season summer months. My advice? Once you book your flight and accommodation, get your Sagrada Família tickets next.

💡 Plan in advance for other attractions, too. To avoid crowds and long lines, buy your tickets online and plan your visits for early morning or late evening. You’ll secure your entry, skip the wait, and enjoy the sights with fewer tourists around.

💡 Use public transportation to navigate the city and beyond. Barcelona has an efficient metro and bus network. Get a T-Casual ticket for ten journeys to save money and time. You can use the ticket for the trains to Colonia Güell, Castelldefels, and Ocata Beach, too.

💡 Pack beach essentials. In the hot and sunny summer months, don’t forget your swimsuit, hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses. You’ll be spending lots of time outdoors, and these will make all the difference.
