How to Get to Montjuïc, Barcelona

Montjuïc is well-connected to Barcelona’s transport network.

It’s easy to reach every attraction on the hill. However, prepare for some walking as well.

Here are all available options to get to Montjuïc:

Bus 21

Take Bus 21 if you want to visit Montjuïc Cemetery and the Museum of Funeral Carriages.  

The bus has several stops along Avenguida Paral·lel. It then passes around Montjuïc and along the Port of Barcelona before dropping you off near the entrance of the cemetery.

Bus 55

The initial stop of Bus 55 is at Plaça Urquinaona in the heart of Barcelona.

You can also catch it from Plaça de Catalunya, Plaça d’Universitat, and various stops in the neighborhoods of Sant Antoni and Poble Sec.

The route then starts climbing Montjuïc near the Catalan Museum of Archaeology, passes by the Ethnologic Museum of Barcelona, goes by the Olympic Stadium, and stops at the Foundation Joan Miro.

The final stop is at the entrance of Jardins de Joan Brossa. The whole ride takes about 35 min.

Bus 150

You can catch Bus 150 from Plaça d’Espanya. The bus stop is in front of the Fira Barcelona building.

The bus route goes all the way to Montjuïc Castle and takes approximately 20 min.

On the way, the bus stops at Poble Espanyol, the Olympic Ring, Foundation Joan Miro, and the funicular, among others.
